Last year in the Taklimakan Desert, I saw how difficult it is to keep even one tree alive. A few days ago, I came across the story of an American teacher whose donation helped grow a forest in China. What moved me most was realizing that this spirit didn't stop there. Today, China is sharing its experience and solutions with countries in this joint battle against desertification. The echoes of this spirit now travel from one desert to another.
